The acquisition makes Custoras New York office the east coast headquarters for Amperity, which is based in Seattle, and brings the companys total headcount to 175 employees.
This is a massive bet for us and we think its a bet absolutely worth making and one were really excited about because of both the product and the customers and the technology but mostly because of the team, Amperity CEO Kabir Shahani said in an interview with 蹤獲弝け News.

Amperity uses artificial intelligence to give businesses a Customer 360– a full view of what a customer is buying, what they want, and how to reach them. Custora, on the other hand, works in customer analytics for retail businesses.
Custora and Amperitys teams first crossed paths when working with Austin-based jewelry company about a year and a half ago.
Immediately the first time we worked together we werent thinking anything about acquisition but we were like okay, this is the best in class, Custora CEO said of Amperitys technology.
Custora raised in total funding, according to 蹤獲弝け. Its most recent round was its $13.8 million, which was led by, in September 2018.

Custora marks Amperitys first acquisition since it was founded in 2016. Shahani declined to disclose how much Custora was acquired for, and said it was too early to say if there will be more acquisitions in the future.
Custora focuses on retail, while Amperity works across verticals like finance and travel. The acquisition will let Amperity bring Custoras value to other industries, Shahani said.
The services of the two companies are complementary, and together they can better serve customers, Pierson said.
We really think that combined we have a chance to win this market, Pierson said.
